Danger in the Darkest Hour is the first book in the brand new Magic Tree House Super Edition series. Still very similar to the past adventures that readers are used to sharing with Jack and Annie, only now they appear to be a little older (although their ages were not stated) and the story is a bit longer. In this issue the siblings are called upon to help their friends, Teddy and Kathleen, in one of the darkest times and places of recent history: Nazi occupied Europe. They are asked to locate and assist in bringing back their friend Kathleen, who is on a mission for the French resistance. This may be Jack and Annie’s toughest mission yet! You know things have gotten bad when the dauntless Annie is terrified.
