What the heck happened? The previous book ("Iced") was an interesting story with a novel character, and I was looking forward to the confrontation between Mac and Dani. While "Iced" did most things right, "Burned" did everything wrong. First, it seems that Mac had turned into a vapid, pointless, mouth-breathing excuse for a heroine that turns into a drooling idiot anytime that a dreamy, hunky man crosses her line of sight or even crosses her mind. It's like the author completely forgot how to balance an active lead's romantic interests with being a useful and proactive heroine. Mac degenerated in this book from what she had been in previous efforts. She seemed to lose every argument that she had with anyone, particularly the dreamy, hunky men.

Also, the author managed to totally ruin the character of Dani. Dani used to be the most interesting character, partially because we got to see what a young, rambunctious, and fearless young woman could...
